Recharge, Refresh & Renew You - Health & Wellness Expo

RIVERDALE, Ga. -

The city of Riverdale's Department of Cultural Affairs & Leisure Services is pleased to introduce to you the newest initiative for 2014. This year the City of Riverdale will launch its Health Awareness Campaign. Each month on the 1st Thursday, the city's Department of Cultural Affairs and Leisure Services will execute a health awareness initiative based on that month's national awareness platform. I.e.: January is National Birth Defects Awareness Month and Mental Wellness Month.

On Saturday, February 22nd from 10A-2P the City of Riverdale will host its Recharge, Refresh & Renew You – Health & Wellness Expo. This expo will be offered free of charge to the community at the Riverdale Town Center – 7210 Church Street in Riverdale, GA. This expo will consist of a variety of vendors and exhibitors that educate on all aspects of health, wellness, fitness and lifestyle improvements.

Topics can include such things as skin care, chiropractic, diabetes, cholesterol, blood pressure, fitness and hospitals. The Health Expo will be advertised and promoted in conjunction with our print, and radio partners, as well as social media platforms.

Health Expo Elements:

Health Screenings - 10AM-2PM

2 - Fitness Demonstration – 20min each

2 - Professionals QA Session – 20min-30min each

1 - Healthy cooking demo 15-20min

Activation:

In January the City of Riverdale will launch its health awareness initiative by informing the public of the program and what they can expect each month throughout the year.

On Saturday, February 22nd, the city's Department of Cultural Affairs & Leisure Services will kick off the Recharge, Refresh, Renew You - Health & Wellness Expo from 10AM-2PM, which will be followed every month by the National monthly health awareness.

The city would love your participation by joining in our efforts to increase awareness of health/fitness education within the community.
