Ricky Rozier has been playing football most of his life. After his dreams of being in the NFL came to an end, it wasn’t over for him. He still craved the competition drive. That inspired him to try out to be on Kurt Busch’s pit crew.

“It’s a new kind of world to me. I’ve never really dealt with anything NASCAR. NASCAR is very mechanic-based. But now in this new era of NASCAR, I feel like they’re going more with athletes. And that’s where I come in,” he said.

Rozier says his football days still comes to good use. Even though this sport is a lot faster, that hunger for winning is just as alive as his days on the field.

“Winning means to me being a champion; giving your all every single day. Sometimes you can’t win at all. Sometimes you come up short. As long as you can look yourself in the mirror and say ‘Hey I left it all on the track,’ that’s what it means to me.”

This former fullback from Winston-Salem State University has a different team that’s more fast-paced.

Rozier will be in the pit for the Daytona 500, racing’s big game.

Report: health risks at some nail salons

One of the most surprising findings in a report from the New York City public advocate is that city officials have virtually no authority over how nail salons are run. The city can't enforce standards like they do with restaurants, so it's clearly a case of beauty buyer beware. We get our nails done without thinking too much about it.
