SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -- Motorists traveling southbound on Greenfield Road between Eight Mile Road and I-696 experience perhaps some of the worst potholes in metro Detroit.

Drivers describe the road as "scary" and "ridiculous." Others say it's "like driving on the moon" or "into the Grand Canyon."

Mayor Brenda Lawrence tells FOX 2 that section of the road is the responsibility of Oakland County.

Craig Bryson with the Road Commission for Oakland County says crews plan to reconstruct the section of road, but cannot do the work during the winter.

"In the meantime, we are patching those potholes on a nearly daily basis," said Bryson.
