Is anything in NYC louder than a screaming Seahawks fan? We're still looking

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Convincing a Seahawks fan to scream into microphone takes very little effort. And indeed one bunch maxed out our sound-level meter at more than 120 decibels and then proclaimed that nothing in New York could match them in volume by -- how else -- shouting at us some more.

An NYPD siren registered in the 90 decibel range. A fire department vehicle headed to the scene of a something put up an even larger reading. The horn on your favorite TV station's live truck emits 91 decibels of sound. And a passing elevated subway train tops the century mark.

But all those noises evidently fall short of a screaming human, as any Seahawks fan in town for Sunday's little skirmish will be more than happy to tell you until your ear drums rupture and all noises kind of sound the same.
