Hour-by-hour look at Saturday's snowfall

(WJBK) -

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for all of SE MI for Saturday morning through Saturday night.  A winter weather system will be headed our way, and some spots could see over 6" of snow.

The devil will be in the details however, as the timing of warm air could cut into overall totals.  As it stands right now, areas between M-59 and I-69 could see totals of 4-7", while areas south of I-96 will be closer to the 3-5" range.  People in southern Wayne, Washtenaw, Monroe and Lenawee counties will see a significant amount of rain which means snow totals will be much less.  High temperatures will be in the middle 30s.

The weather will exit the area late Saturday night making for a quiet day on Sunday.  High temperatures will be lower though... around 26.

The next winter system moves in on Tuesday night.

We will continue to update our forecast as new weather data comes in.
