NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - Paterson, New Jersey native Mike Adams is playing in Super Bowl 48 and he couldn't be more excited.

The safety for the Denver Broncos is trying to make the most of his visit to the Garden State with dinner at his grandmother's house and a commitment to return after the big game.

During Super Bowl Media Day at the Prudential Center on Tuesday, Adams was asked about his pledge to walk home to Paterson after the game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford if the Broncos beat the Seattle Seahawks.

"I was feeling the emotion coming off the Patriot game. Now I see everyone is going to hold me to it. I’ve got to put up or shut up, huh? I’m going to let you guys wonder," said Adams.

Just how far would Adams be walking? Try 10 miles. And considering he said he'd wear his helmet and pads, it could be a long, hard walk.

The trip could include walks along Route 17, US 46 and Interstate 80.

Step through the doors of Hope's Land of Candy in Island Park, Long Island and you''ll be taking a trip back in time. There's no WIFI but they do have a Victrola piano. And then there's the candy.. lots and lots of it.

It appears the subway bedbug problem we've been reporting is getting worse. Commuters already have to contend with sweltering platforms, scurrying rats and packed train cars, and now there's another transit woe: fear of bedbugs.
