PHOENIX (KSAZ) -

It's not the first time that Bieber has had run ins with police, but it is the first time he's actually been arrested and charged with a crime.

So are we seeing Bieber spiral out of control? One of his close friends happened to be here in the valley today and talked about the latest incident.

He's not a household name like Justin Bieber but Mike Posner is Bieber's close friend and wrote one of the pop star's biggest hits. He was in the valley today and talked to a well known valley DJ about Bieber's troubles.

"Its just nice to talk to somebody who knows him and get their perspective not just what we hear" said Lady La,a 101.5 FM morning radio host.

FOX10 contributor Lady La today speaking with artist Mike Posner a close friend of Justin Bieber. On her morning radio show on 101.5 just after the news broke about Bieber's arrest in Miami. "I don't want to comment on it too much but anything I say about it would be out of love" said Mike Posner.

Posner has a string of his own hits and has spent time writing and touring with Bieber. He didn't make excuses for his friend.

"I know when I make mistakes I let people down... I would just let him know I love him and we all make mistakes" said Posner.

Posner said he feels the media focuses on Bieber's bad behavior but doesn't give him enough credit for the good things he does.

"He's given away more money than I've ever made, allright?... I just love him and like I said we all make mistakes, but i haven't spoken to him so i don't know what's true and what's not.

DJ Lady La says she's known Bieber since he was 13 and has seen a big change in him over the past coupe of years. The question is will he get better now, or continue his downward spiral.

More than half the population of New York City rides public transportation to work. No other metropolis in this country even approaches that percentage or the MTA's total number of riders. For that reason, New York likely ranks as the most energy-efficient city in the nation. But what would it take to make the city even more energy-efficient or even self-sufficient?
