ATLANTA -

Authorities are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery in Grant Park on Wednesday night.

According to Atlanta Police, the incident happened on the 300 block of Kendrick Avenue. Officials say a woman was robbed of her cell phone and wallet in her driveway and that the suspect attempted to gain entrance into her home but ran away when he encountered her large dog.

The victim said that the suspect made her get on her knees while he pointed a gun at her and her husband, who had come outside to greet her, before threatening to "kill them both."

The suspect is described as about 5'10" wearing a black skull cap, black heavy jacket and blue jeans.

Authorities are unsure if the bandit ran down the driveway, or through neighbors backyards. Anyone with information on this incident is being asked to contact Atlanta Police or to call 911.
