California Couple Has Natural Born Identical Triplets

Posted: Updated:

Three is not a crowd for one family in Southern California--the Dooley's are celebrating the very rare birth of naturally born identical triplets!

The three healthy boys named Patrick, Owen and Liam were born at Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach.

The couple also has a five-year-old daughter and says that they can't wait to get the babies home. They say one of their biggest challenges at the moment is telling the boys apart!

"We were very shocked when we found out we were having three babies because we did nothing to have more than one and multiples don't run in our family, so once we got over the shock, we've just been really excited and anticipating this day," Dooley said.

The odds of having identical triplets are about one in a half-a-million. FOX 29's very own Iain Page has triplets have home. See his story here.
