A woman leaving a gas station just before 7 a.m. Wednesday at Plymouth and Meyers roads says a small, beige four-day car pulled up and the man inside the vehicle pulled her in.

"She was hollering and screaming, she was hurting," a witness tells Fox 2's Amy Lange. The witness did not want to be identified.

The victim told police the suspect tore at her clothes, hit her in the face with a gun and pulled out a blow torch, burning her until she was able to grab a screwdriver and stick it in his right eye. She was then able to escape and ran to a house nearby.

She describes the suspect as a man in his 20s, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds.

Less than two blocks away, back in July a prostitute was found in a field beaten, naked and burned.

The day before that, another prostitute had been discovered beaten and naked and set on fire on Eaton Street.

"This sexual predator, in my view, has the making of a serial sexual assault suspect," Chief James Craig had said at the time of those discoveries.

The victim in the most recent assault case was also a prostitute. Police are now investigating to see if any of the cases are connected.
