Tests confirm mold in leaky Fulton County offices

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

Air quality tests confirm that mold was found inside a Fulton County office that repeatedly flooded.

Last week, FOX 5 broke the story about the unsanitary office space inside the purchasing department where 30 employees are assigned and also where the public must go to conduct business.

David Ricks, the director of Facilities and Transportation, said that employees who worked closest to the moldy rooms will work with health professionals to see if any measures are required.

FOX 5 has learned that the problems Fulton County officials face aren't limited to the government center.  Pictures obtained by FOX 5 show that rain has been getting inside the Fulton County courthouse.

County managers admit that some of the problems have gone on for months and that they are working to rectify the situation.
