Man pulls woman, baby out of burning building

FAIRBURN, Ga. -

A woman was reunited with a man who pulled her and her infant son out of a fire.

A blaze broke out at the Ashford Town and Country Apartments in Fairburn early Saturday.

Tyisha Anthony and her 1-year-old baby, Sage, were trapped on the second floor. Anthony smashed out a window screen and called for help. A passerby heard her cries.

"I saw a big ball of smoke, so I drove up and I saw the lady, she was screaming with a baby in her arms," said Josue Reyes.

Reyes took a ladder from his truck and helped pull Anthony and her son to safety.

After the rescue, Reyes went to work. Anthony had no idea who he was but wanted to say thanks.

"He was just a guardian angel," Anthony said.

Reyes, with his own daughter in tow, met with Anthony on Monday morning.

Anthony said she'll never forget the immense debt she now owes Reyes.
