Metro PCS robbery suspect arrested

ATLANTA -

Clayton County Police have arrested a man they say robbed a Metro PCS store in Jonesboro.

The suspect, 22-year-old Anthony Paul Smith, was apprehended by the Clayton County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Unit for the robbery that occurred on Saturday, January 11.

According to police, Smith allegedly robbed the Metro PCS store located at 8053 Tara Boulevard, as well as a store in the City of McDonough and other areas around Henry County. Smith is also a suspect in other robberies around the area.

Authorities say sometimes he wore a mask and other times he didn't. Smith is being charged with Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime.
