Home In Moorestown, NJ Robbed With Owners Inside

MOORESTOWN, N.J. -

A Moorestown, New Jersey home is robbed while the homeowners were inside!

Police say the brazen robbery happened inside a home on the 100 block of Maple Avenue.

The homeowner came home to find a man and a woman inside his home robbing the place. They are still on the loose.

Police say the couple-kicked in the front door and went through the house around 5:30 tonight, but minutes later after the owner comes home. He tried to stop the suspect before he gets punched in the face. Both robbers fled the scene in a stolen GMC truck The truck had a New Jersey license plate of MYL-85V.

The crooks did get away with about $300 cash and some jewelry but before The robbers got away the homeowner was able to snap a picture of the getaway car for police.

"There was a threat that there was possibly a weapon involved and he still had the presence of mind to take a picture of the first time I've heard of that," Moorestown Police Lt. Lee Lieber Said.

"It's upsetting there's no doubt about it 9 times out of 10 you hear about break ins and nobody his home but you come home and find someone there it's disturbing," Neighbor Chris Chesner said.

If you see the vehicle, please call Moorestown Police. Investigators are also looking into a rash of robberies recently to see if they may be connected.
