Polar Bear Cub Takes First Steps In Toronto Zoo

Posted: Updated:
TORONTO, Canada -

Cameras were rolling when the Toronto Zoo's polar bear cub stumbled through his first steps earlier this week.

He was born back in November on the ninth and now weighs almost ten pounds.

He's been taken care of by zoo keepers around the clock to make sure he's getting everything he needs. His mother has a history of rejecting her cubs, so that's why he's been in the care of zoo keepers.

So far, this adorable cub still has not been named.

According to the World Wildlife Fund, polar bears are classified as "vulnerable." There are 20,000 to 25,000 of them worldwide.

The adorable video on YouTube has gotten more than 750,000 views.
