Spiritual medium describes first visions

MYFOXNY.COM - Executive producer James Van Praagh has drawn from his personal experiences as a spiritual medium for the basis of the TV series, The Ghost Whisperer.

Praagh will be hosting a special reading in New York City on Saturday. 

"I talk to dead people. They can see me talk to dead people tomorrow night. We have tickets available. It's a very intimate setting," said Praagh.

The spiritual medium says the hit movie 'The Sixth Sense' was based loosely on his life.

"One of the first experiences I had when I was in first grade I walked up to my teacher and said your son was hit by a car. She said go back to your seat. A few minutes later the principal came in and took her out. She came back and she asked me how I knew that? She said my son was playing soccer and the ball went into the street my son chased it and a car hit him but it just broke his leg," said Praagh.

It was one of the many visions Praagh said he had at a very young age.

You can meet Praagh in person this weekend at the  Society for Ethical Culture, 2 West 64th Street, Manhattan, at 8 p.m.

    Greg Kelly stripped down on Monday's Good Day New York to get some help for a sun burn across his torso.He went to the beach in the Dominican Republic but only applied sun screen to his face.Kelly says he was in the water for about 40 minutes.Dr. Kahn says he faces immediate and long term trouble because of his severe burn.The doctor says to apply anything that is soothing.The best bet is to apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen that is waterproof before going into the sun.
