Walking On Broken Glass To Keep A New Year's Resolution

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

All Wednesday morning on "Good Day Philadelphia" we were talking about New Year's resolutions.

And whether you have vowed to lose weight, get fit, quit smoking, find love or maybe get more organized, we have some bad news: 90 percent of resolutions fail!

We don't want that to happen to us.

That's why life coach Joe White joined us in the "Good Day" studio Wednesday. He's the president and founder of Get Life Coaching.

White says most resolutions fail due to lack of commitment. Once individuals experience resistance, they are overwhelmed with fear of failing.

He shared some tips to ensure we stick with our resolutions. And he uses some unorthodox confidence-building techniques for those who want to build their confidence in the New Year.

FOX 29's Karen Hepp decided to give one of them a try – walking on broken glass! Watch the video clip above to see how she did.
