Police: Jewelry store robbery suspect stole $10K item

TEMPE, Ariz. -

Tempe Police are looking for a man who walked into the Capri Jewelers store, showed a clerk a gun and then took off with a very expensive item.

This happened Monday just before 5:00 p.m. inside the Arizona Mills mall located near Interstate 10 and Baseline Road.

"They had been just showing this piece of jewelry.. valued at over $10,000," said Sgt. Mike Pooley.  "We got some very good pictures of this individual and hopefully, the viewers can take a look at him tonight."

The suspect id described as a black male in his early 20s with a thin build, 6' 2" to 6' 5" tall.  He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
