DACULA, Ga. -

A man has been arrested in the stabbing death of a 62-year-old woman. Her body was found Saturday afternoon in a Dacula home.

Wolf Griffin, 35, made his first appearance before a judge on Sunday morning. He is being charged with the aggravated assault and murder of Peggie Robinson, 62, of Gainesville.

A spokesperson with the Gwinnett County Police Department tells FOX 5 News that Robinson was a family friend and had come over to drop off a child at the house in 2900 block of Evergreen Eve Crossing around 2:20 p.m. Saturday.

"We have no exact idea as to why this occurred. We know the victim brought the child to the location to facilitate a custody transfer," said Cpl. Troy Tobler, Gwinnett County Police Department spokesperson.

Investigators spent much of Saturday evening combing through the crime scene and gathering evidence, trying to piece together what led up to Robinson's death.

One of the suspect's friends spoke with FOX 5 at the scene on Saturday. He said he saw the victim's body inside the garage.

"I was shocked then and I'm still in complete and utter shock right now. I'll be honest with you, I'm ready to go home and forget this day ever happened," said Jeremiah Van Troostenberghe.

Authorities said the child that was being dropped off at the house was not harmed and is now in a safe place.

Wolf Griffin is being held without bond at the Gwinnett County Jail. He is scheduled back in court sometime in January.

For example, the C train breaks down most often, not surprising since the line has 50-year-old cars. But C trains were also the cleanest in the transit system.Straphangers said the worst subway trains were the IRT's No. 2.
