Mark Wahlberg praises time in Detroit, Dream Cruise

In a sit-down interview with Fox 2's Lee Thomas about his new movie 'Lone Survivor,' actor Mark Wahlberg also reminisced about the days he spent in Detroit filming 'Transformers 4.'

While making a guest appearance on NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Wahlberg mentions he was filming the movie in Detroit. Wahlberg said, "Detroit is a great, great city and hopefully people continue to bring more business there and help the economy there."

Wahlberg laughs with Lee Thomas and says, "I actually started getting a couple free meals after that [comment] in Detroit."

Wahlberg talks about his trip to the Woodward Dream Cruise, a trip to the Palace of Auburn Hills and, of course, his upcoming film 'Lone Survivor.' In the movie, Wahlberg stars in the true story of Marcus Luttrell, a navy seal who was the lone survivor on a failed mission.

'Lone Survivor' released December 25, 2013. 'Transformers 4' will release June 27, 2014.

    The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is holding its monthly board meeting, two days after it heard from a panel on what it needs to do to improve its accountability and efficiency and restore public trust.
    The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey could rescind a $1-a-year lease for a park-and-ride lot near the Lincoln Tunnel. The agency's chief of real estate and development told a committee Wednesday that it should change a deal made in 2012. Published reports have alleged that former Port Authority chairman David Samson voted to approve the lease even though his law firm did business with New Jersey Transit, which operates the park-and-ride lot.
