Girl Sends Balloon Letter To Late Great-Grandmother, Gets Gift

Posted: Updated:

An 8-year-old girl's loving message to her late great grandmother leads to a Christmas gift she'll never forget.

On the one year anniversary of "Maw-Maw" Minnie Sue Watts' death, Bella Hosford released a note to her late grandma written on a balloon.

That was in August.

On Monday, a small box arrived at their doorstep addressed to Bella.

Inside the box was the deflated balloon, her pink note and locket with a new note attached.

Tricia Hosford read the note, which says, "Dearest Bella, Maw Maw is always with you. Just close your eyes and you will see her. Love, your Guardian Angel."

Bella calls the locket one of her most prized possessions.
