Monday Off To Soggy And Foggy Start

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

After recording two record highs over the weekend, we're going to get wet and cool off today.

A cold front moving from southwest to northeast will bring waves of rain that's heavy at times.

The fog is dense outside this morning, and we are seeing reduced visibility.

And things will be getting much colder heading into the holiday.

Our FOX Futurecast shows the rain heavy at times through mid-morning and it starts to crank up down towards the south. Showers will linger mainly to the south and east through 10 p.m., but it will clear out quickly. We will see skies clear overnight.

Expect to see a half-inch to an inch for all of us, perhaps over an inch in Philadelphia. So, nothing too terrible, but it will still be a soggy Monday forecast.

Temperatures this morning were at 60 degrees and falling. It will be much cooler by this evening once that front passes.

A few flurries are possible Tuesday afternoon. Otherwise, it's just turning colder with a high of just 43 degrees.

It will be a cold but dry holiday, so good for travel, but just 33 for a high.

Your extended forecast shows we will stay dry with temperatures slowly moderating through the 30s and back into the 40s, FOX 29 Meteorologist Caitlin Roth says.

Video games may be pure fantasy, but a violent action-adventure game called "Watch Dogs" has ignited a very real debate in one South Jersey community. Watch Dog allows players to adopt the persona of a James Bond-like computer hacker, chasing an evil mastermind. People say it's chock-full of foul language, sex and violence, features dark and foreboding backdrops. The latest version, which is due out this fall may be set in Camden.
