DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

A business owner was shot and killed Sunday in the parking lot of a gas station on Detroit's east side. The victim had come from across the street where he owns a business when he was gunned down in his car around 3 o'clock in the afternoon.

Neighbors identified the victim as "Harry." They say he owns the used tire and car parts shop across the street. Police say he had just left to grab a drink when a car pulled alongside him and opened fire. Harry was shot several times with rounds striking his head, shoulder and hand.

"I would see him in the morning every morning at the coffee machine," Jack Jackson told Fox 2. "We're in a different day and a different time... a different breed of people coming up... no respect."

Right now, police don't have much to go on but they're reviewing surveillance video they hope will help give them more clues. If you have any information about this violent crime, call Detroit Police or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-SPEAKUP.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey could rescind a $1-a-year lease for a park-and-ride lot near the Lincoln Tunnel. The agency's chief of real estate and development told a committee Wednesday that it should change a deal made in 2012. Published reports have alleged that former Port Authority chairman David Samson voted to approve the lease even though his law firm did business with New Jersey Transit, which operates the park-and-ride lot.
