West Point cadet accused of emailing child porn

Posted: Updated:

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) -- A West Point cadet has been arrested on child pornography charges, federal prosecutors in New York said.

The U.S. attorney's office in Manhattan said Homeland Security agents arrested the cadet, Ricky Patrick Hester, Thursday on the campus of the United States Military Academy in West Point, N.Y.

It said Hester, of Granger, Ind., possessed sexual images of children and distributed them to others by email. The office said the images included videos that appeared to show explicit sexual conduct.

Granger, 23, could face up to 20 years in prison on the distribution charge.

Calls to the federal defender's office, which is representing Hester, and to West Point were not immediately returned.

The future is here when it comes to vehicles. The auto industry has packed nearly 1,000 automobiles into the Jacob Javits Center on Manhattan's West Side for the 2014 NY Auto Show.   Among the 'must-sees' is a hydrogen powered vehicle and a prototype car with cameras that allow you to see the ground underneath as you drive over it.
