STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) - A high school student in Stamford has been charged with voyeurism and other crimes after police say he posted a sexually explicit photo of his ex-girlfriend on the Internet.

Stamford police say the 17-year-old student at Westhill High School was arrested after his 18-year-old former girlfriend filed a complaint Monday saying a picture of her engaging in sexual activity was posted on Instagram. The boy's name was withheld because of his age.

The ex-girlfriend told authorities she didn't know she was being photographed when the picture was taken. The photo has been removed from the Internet.

Police say the boy admitted taking the photo before he and the girl broke up a few months ago.

The boy was released to his parents and ordered to appear in Juvenile Court.
