Conn. police fatally shoot man in father-son fight

FARMINGTON, Conn. (AP) - Farmington police say an officer shot and killed a man while responding to a fight between a father and his adult son.

Police say they were confronted by an unidentified man brandishing a gun Thursday night. WFSB-TV reports that the man was shot after refusing to put down the gun.

He was declared dead at the scene.

The state's attorney's office is investigating.

No other details were available Friday morning.
