Former Red Wing Darren McCarty discusses career, addiction

Posted: Updated:

Four-time Stanley Cup Champion Darren McCarty is talking fighting. No, not just the fighting where the gloves are dropped.

McCarty details in his new book "My Last Fight: The True Story of a Hockey Rock Star" his battles with substance abuse, finances, and more. McCarty played the role of enforcer with the Red Wings, totaling 127 goals and 1,477 penalty minutes in his career.

In his book, McCarty also talks about the temptations he faced as a young hockey player, his fights with Claude Lemieux, as well as anecdotes from his time with the Red Wings.
