CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Two people were shot near the Circle Interchange on the Near West Side Friday morning, authorities said.

The victims, whose ages and genders were not immediately known, were shot about 4 a.m. near the interchange that connects the Dan Ryan, Eisenhower and Kennedy expressways, police said.

Four people were in a blue Chevrolet traveling eastbound on the Eisenhower near the Kennedy-Ryan split when the shooting occurred, according to Illinois State Police District Chicago spokeswoman Elizabeth Nanai said.

The driver and a passenger suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, Nanai said.

The victims were uncooperative with officers and further information was not immediately available, she said.
