CASA GRANDE, Ariz. -

When deputies came knocking at one man's door, he allegedly put the "pot" in potty.

Pinal County authorities served a search warrant to 20-year-old Christopher Cruz's home in the 1200 block of North Center Avenue on Tuesday.

When deputies entered the home, they say they found Cruz in the bathroom attempting to flush four pounds of marijuana down the toilet. He was quickly taken into custody.

Deputies say two shotguns and a handgun were found inside the home.

Cruz was booked into the Pinal County Jail for possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale, misconduct involving weapons, destruction of evidence, and two counts of endangerment because there were two children in the home.

"I'm sure he now wishes he invested in a plunger for his house and he may have gotten away with the possession charge," said Sheriff Paul Babeu.

Deputies say Cruz has a prior felony conviction related to criminal damage.
