CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

FOX 32 News has teamed up with no-kill shelter PAWS Chicago to bring you an adoptable pet each week. This week, we're featuring a pair of adorable kittens in need of a loving home.

The two-and-three-month-old kittens have boundless energy and love to play, play, play.

Having a buddy to tumble and run around with will benefit not only the kittens, but also their adopters. Kittens often do better in pairs as they can entertain each other and not seek out potentially dangerous situations. A single kitten is likely to keep its guardian awake with jumping, pouncing and "hunting" behaviors directed at any sort of movement beneath the covers. Having a companion to play with after the humans have gone to bed, however, will minimize this behavior. Instead, the two kittens will occupy each other by chasing shadows or playing tag until they eventually tire each other out.

Kittens that are able to remain with a littermate or similarly-aged companion tend to be more socialized than cats separated from other felines at an early age. Also, many families work long hours and having a playmate to keep busy during this alone time is very beneficial. A pair of kittens will still want to interact with their people, but will keep each other occupied while their guardian is busy. Consider adopting a kitten, or a pair of kittens today.

You can meet the kittens and other animals looking for homes at PAWS Chicago Adoption & Humane Center in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
