Reporter challenges Baldwin to fight

Posted: Updated:

In a week of tirades and confrontations with reporters, Alec Baldwin may be charged with assault for shoving a New York Post reporter.  And now the reporter, Kevin Fasick has a few choice words for Mr. Baldwin

“Alec Baldwin is a bully” Fasick said. “He’s a coward.”

In a picture taken yesterday Alec Baldwin shoved Kevin and the confrontation got so heated that the actor actually threatened him.

“He said to me, step back pal, you want to get hurt?” Fasick said. “You want to get her hurt?”

Now Kevin wants to ‘hurt’ Baldwin in the ring.

Back in 1986, Kevin was a professional boxer and he's now challenging Baldwin to a boxing match.

Kevin feels that rather than pick a fight in the street it would be better to fight and donate the money to charity.

Earlier in the week, Baldwin allegedly called another photographer a homophobic slur.

As a result, MSNBC suspended Baldwin's show for two weeks.

Baldwin then wrote an op-ed for Huffingtonpost.com.

The statement said:

“I can assure you, with complete confidence, that a direct homophobic slur [or indirect one for that matter] is not spoken. I have been a fan of MSNBC for some time. Its left-leaning tone never bothered me. I still believe that they are more enamored of and devoted to the truth in any single hour than fox is all year long."

In his most recent confrontation with one of our Fox 5 reporters, Baldwin's wife Hilaria, claimed that our reporter’s microphone almost knocked her teeth out. However, the mic wasn’t close to her at all.

Earlier Friday, Baldwin also threatened Fox 5's Robert Moses.

Baldwin blames the media.

In his op-ed, the actor wrote.

"They [meaning the media] provoke me, daily, by getting dangerously close to me with their cameras as weapons, hoping I will react. When I do, the weapon doubles as a device to record my reaction. And then, apparently, I lose every time."

In response to the New York Post reporter's challenge, Baldwin's rep had no comment.

However, a friend of Baldwin's told Fox 5 that it was a nice thought but Alec already contributes millions to charity.

If an iced coffee from Dunkin' Donuts is part of your afternoon routine, expect a nudge to buy a cookie or doughnut you didn't plan on. Dunkin' Brands CEO Nigel Travis said in a phone interview Thursday that the company is pushing to get its cashiers to "upsell" to afternoon customers. It's part of an effort to increase sales after stores have emptied out after the morning rush.
