Thanksgiving nutrition superstars on the table

Calories on a typical Thanksgiving plate can add up rather quickly. Registered dietitian/nutritionist Marissa Moore stopped by Good Day Atlanta on Friday to show us how to celebrate the nutrition superstars on the table such as turkey, sweet potatoes, greens and cinnamon.

Turkey
- Lean protein
- Dark meat delivers more iron, zinc and B vitamins

Greens, Pecans, Cranberries
- Greens: excellent source of fiber and vitamins A, C & K
- Pecans: great source of heart healthy fats
- Cranberries: packed with cancer fighting antioxidants

Sweet potatoes:

- High fiber which helps control blood sugar and hunger

Cinnamon:
