Philadelphia High School Fair Will Take Place This Saturday

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Parents listen up: if you want to help your student get into a good high school in Philly, there's a free event coming up this Saturday that can help.

Shelton Mercer from Great Philly Schools was on Good Day to talk about the High School Fair.

The school fair was almost not going to happen this year because of budget cuts, until the Great Philly Schools raised some money to keep it going.

"The money is there, the venue is there and 90 schools will be there," said Mercer. This means that it will be a mix of public, private, charter and parochial schools. Teachers, admission counselors and other representatives from the schools will be at the fair.

The event will be at the Drexel Armory at 33rd and Market Street.

"Bring yourself," Mercer recommended.
