PHILADELPHIA -

Police are looking for a man who robbed two banks in Mayfair.

The incident happened on Tuesday just after 12:30 p.m. on the 7300 block of Frankford Avenue where the man entered the bank and presented a demand note to a teller.

Police said the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash, and then fled the area of the bank.

Investigators describe the suspect as a white male in his mid-30s, approximately 5'8" tall, thin to medium build, with facial hair; he wore a black and white Billabong hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, sneakers, and eyeglasses.

The suspect is also allegedly responsible for Sunday's robbery of the Republic Bank branch at 7300 Frankford Ave. On that occasion, he wore a gray hooded sweatshirt with the words "Lynchburg Lacrosse" in red text on the chest.

Anyone with information about these robberies or this suspect is urged to call FBI/PPD Violent Crimes Task Force, 215-418-4000.
