Bethenny Frankel makes donation to 'Dress for Success' program

ATLANTA -

The Dress for Success program makes a big difference in the lives of many women in Atlanta.

The program gets women suited up and "interview ready" so they can hopefully secure a spot in the workforce.

National talk show host Bethenny Frankel has made it her personal mission to empower these women even more.

Frankel admits that she hasn't always been on top of the world. She said she's struggled to get to where she is today.  That's why she felt it all so important to make a very special delivery that will help women dress for success.

"It's good for women to be independent, empowered and in charge," Frankel said.

Numerous boxes of clothes were delivered by FOX 5 on behalf of the "Bethenny" show in order to help lift the lives and spirits of women looking for the gift of a fresh start.

"It makes me feel good because I want to help women to be independent and financially independent and have self-worth," Frankel said.

The Dress For Success program says they need donations for its career center. They are looking for everything from desks and tables to computers and printers. They could also use some contractors who can help build the space.

You've got a few more weeks to enjoy SummerStage, New York's annual performing arts showcase that's 28 years running. But it's not just music: there is dance, comedy, theater, you name it. There are several shows weekly at 14 different parks throughout the five boroughs. A recent show at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park paid tribute to Pete Seeger. Most of the shows are free and are funded by tickets purchased for the some of the bigger acts.
