CHERRY HILL, N.J. -

We're weeks away from Thanksgiving, but it seems retailers are skipping that holiday, and looking forward to Christmas.

This year, more stores are opening earlier than ever on Thanksgiving Day. The latest round of announcements has Target and Wal-mart joining the fray and opening on Thanksgiving.

FOX 29's Steve Keeley reports live at the Target store in Cherry Hill, where some people will be eating turkey in line!

Target is just the latest in the line of stores that will open on Thanksgiving Day. It announced that it will open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving. K-Mart will open the earliest, at 6 a.m. Toys "R" Us, Best Buy, Macy's, J.C. Penney, Kohl's are just some of the other stores opening during the holiday that was normally meant to be a day for people to rest and spend time with family.
