It's almost here, the holiday shopping season

Posted: Updated:

It's almost here.... The most wonderful time of year.

But for some, the holiday shopping season also stirs up some serious anxiety.

Crain's New York retail reporter Adrianne Pasquarelli says stores are worried because shoppers are nervous about spending money

“There are fewer days, shaky consumer confidence and people still concerned about the government shutdown and Obamacare” she said.

But when it comes to holiday shopping, there are some customers that embrace it all

“I'm happy to say have most Hanukkah gifts for my son” one customer told us.

Retail experts say 40% of a store's revenue depends on holiday shopping season. So for stores like Pier 1 it's make or break time

And this year, for the first time and the last time in our lifetimes, Hannukah and Thanksgiving fall on the same day. .
