Beauty Queen Funeral

Ridgewood, New Jersey (My9News) -

Friends and family gathered at the Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ridgewood, New Jersey to honor and celebrate the life of Mary Greff.

Greff was adopted as a pre-teen and grew up as an only child. She was a former contestant in the Miss New Jersey Teen USA pageant whose life was taken from her way too soon.

Her friends and family remembered her as a girl who was full of life, loved to take road trips, drive around with friends and most importantly they remember her as a mother who loved her baby son unconditionally.

During the funeral the family unveiled two YouTube video’s that Greff had recorded herself. Some of the things she discussed in these videos included why school should start at a later time. “When I was in high-school, I made sure I was in bed by 10:00pm because I knew I had to wake up very early. If I didn’t get enough sleep, then my body would wear down and I would start to feel sick,” Greff stated in one of the videos.

The other one focused on the importance of exercising. In the video she said, “Exercising isn’t just about going to the gym. Aerobics, yoga, and meditation can help improve your body.”

Although Greff’s life ended abruptly, no one who attended the funeral spoke of anger or even showed it. Greff’s parents and other family members and friends continued to celebrate her life and mostly focused on honoring her memories.

Mark Spatucci, the former boyfriend of Greff and father of her son was in court in Hackensack, NJ after the funeral services, in which he pleaded not guilty.

Spatucci is charged with murder, felony murder, burglary, endangering the welfare of a child and hindering apprehension. His bail is currently set at $2M.
