Posted: Updated:
Mt. Laurel, N.J. -

Mount Laurel police have released surveillance photographs of a suspected robber of the PNC bank on the 100 block of Ark Road.

On Friday 10/25/13 at 5:30pm, according to police, an unidentified male suspect confronted a customer leaving the PNC Bank on Ark Rd. and forced the customer back into the bank.

According to police, the suspect implied that he had a gun, demanded money from bank employees, and threatened to kill the customer if money was not turned over.

Bank employees turned over an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled in a tan sedan, possibly a Toyota Corolla, investigators say.

No one was hurt during this incident.

The suspect was wearing gray cargo pants, a gray hoodie, and a maroon/white Halloween mask, authorities say. His jacket may have been worn inside-out and has a distinctive design on the back.

The attached images of the suspect shows the design on the back of his jacket, as well as the mask he worn during the robbery.

Anyone with information regarding this crime are asked to contact the Mount Laurel Police Department's Tip line at 856-234-1414 x1599.

Every day, those who live and work in the Gowanus section of Brooklyn drive and bike and walk across their canal, growing a little more accustomed to but no less disgusted by its scent and appearance. Once the busiest canal in the United States, the Gowanus now bears the distinction as perhaps the most polluted body of water in the nation. No one knows exactly how polluted because few have summoned enough courage to dive into its murky depths to investigate.
