Man convicted in 2002 double homicide

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -

The case of a 2002 double homicide in southeast Atlanta has finally been closed.

According to police, Jonathan Wilder and Zerious Jordan were found dead at the Boulevard Family Food Mart back in November 2002.

For years, the case went cold. Gail Berryhill thought the murder of her oldest child (Wilder) would never be solved.

A break in case finally came went an eyewitness came forward in 2011.

Last week, a Fulton County jury convicted Frederick Gant of both killings.

Berryhill says she will never be able to repay the prosecutor on the case.

"Me and my family really appreciate the hard work he did to finally bring this man to justice so he can get what he deserves -- to be in jail for the rest of his life because he killed two people for no reason," Berryhill said.

Gant will be sentenced for the double killings next week.
