Gov. Brewer visits Phoenix Children's Hospital patients

PHOENIX -

Governor Jan Brewer played a game of air hockey Wednesday at Phoenix Children's Hospital. She was there to have fun with young patients celebrating their birthday this month.

The governor was invited to the hospital by 8-year-old Chance Peterson.

"It was fun just beating the governor in air hockey," says Chance.

The score?

"It was four to zero!"

After the match, doctors honored the governor for pushing Arizona's expansion of Medicaid approved by the state legislature.

Chance then presented her with flowers.

"When you look at the children that are in this hospital getting the care that they're getting, and other children throughout our state that benefit from good health care and life-changing therapies and treatment, it just makes you realize what a wonderful country we live in and indeed each and every little soul deserves that," says Gov. Jan Brewer.

We asked Chance: "what did the governor say to you after the air hockey match?"

Chance: "That I'm pretty good and she should have practiced this morning too."

Gov. Brewer: "I'm going home to practice, I'm coming back and we're going to have another round ok and if I win and then we'll have the playoffs. Is that a deal?"

Chance: "Ok!"
