Physician Assistant Charged With Sexual Assault On Patient In Anaheim

48-year old Rocael Gomez worked as a Physician's Assistant for at least five years, according to the Orange County District Attorney's office. While working at the Anaheim Market Clinic back in January this year, a 51-year old woman says she went in because of lower back pain, but was sexually violated by Gomez.

Orange County Deputy District Attorney Jess Rodriguez, "During the exam, Mr. Gomez was acting like it was a normal procedure touch different parts of her ask if it was okay then move to somewhere else."

His actions got much worse according to authorities, and the victim ended up reporting him to Anaheim Police that night.  Gomez was charged with sexual battery by fraud and digital penetration of unconscious person.

Gomez also worked at Bansuan Medical Clinic in El Monte. 

Now authorities are asking any other possible victims to come forward. 

Rodriguez, "Someone in that position who has violated that position of trust relationship we believe has done it at least once what's stopping him from doing it to other people."

Gomez is expected to be arraigned in court tomorrow morning. So far he's out on 250-thousand dollars bail. If convicted he could face up to 9 years in prison and spend a lifetime on the sex offenders registry.
