DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

A group of three men posing as police officers barged into a home on Glendale Street, near Livernois Avenue and W. Davison Street, demanding to know where "the weed was," and proceeded to shoot the family dog before leaving the property.

"Well we thought it was police because they had police badges on," Patricia Graham tells Fox 2's Andrea Isom. Lori Bartley, another victim inside the home, says they were trying to let their cat inside when the men forced their way in.

Graham says the first thing the men shouted was, "Where's the weed?" Detroit Police confirm no drugs were inside the house and that it appears the suspects may have accidentally approached the wrong house.

Before the suspects left the home they shot the family dog.

"He barks, you know, but he doesn't bite anybody, and they just shot him!" Graham says, shaking her head.

"They started backing off and took off. All I know is it's a silver car; it must've been a four door because there was three of them," Bartley says.

Detroit Police showed up on the scene two minutes after receiving the call and are continuing the investigation.

New York City women are tired of hearing vile things yelled at them as they walk down the street. Many women are going public about street harassment and catcalling. Some even post picture of their offenders on social media. Founded in 2005, Hollaback! is an anti-harassment organization giving women a platform to do just that.

Homeless people still sleep under the Manhattan Bridge, but others who used to camp out near its base have been displaced by police and are now calling Park Avenue South home. Park Avenue South sits in one of the trendiest parts of Manhattan, with businesses, restaurants, hotels, and swank lofts. It's also the street corner home base of Tommy Lanfranchi and his domestic partner Nicole Kilroy, who've been in a methadone program for 10 years.
