PCSO detectives search for child molestation suspect

Posted: Updated:
PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. -

Authorities in Pinal County are searching for a man accused of sex crimes against at least two children under the age of 14 in Florence -- and the alleged molestations happened repeatedly over several years.

Detectives have been searching for Robert Guardiola, but after the investigation began, he has disappeared.

Guardiola is described as a 43-year-old white male, 5' 6" tall, with black hair, brown eyes and weighing 230 pounds.  He may be driving a black BMW with Arizona license plate BCN7781.

Sheriff Paul Babeu stated, "These two young female victims had the courage to come forward and report these sex crimes committed against them. A large number of children who are abused never come forward out of fear, embarrassment or concern that they won't be believed. The overwhelming majority of child sexual abuse victims are abused by someone they know and trust, a person most parents would never suspect. It is important for adults to encourage their children to know they can talk with them about anything. If you suspect a child has been sexually abused, report it immediately to law enforcement."

If you have any information about this case, call the Pinal County Sheriff's office.
