Police search for "Get it to go bandits"

Posted: Updated:

Caught on camera: gunmen behind a string of violent robberies in the east valley.

Police say these crooks held up fast food restaurants, including:

- Long John Silvers, 1202 W. Broadway Road, Tempe

- Carl's Jr, 1440 W. Southern Avenue, Mesa

- Burger King, 1139 W. Broadway Road, Tempe

- Burger King, 2011 S. McClintock Drive, Tempe

The crimes happened between September 9th and October 13th and each time, authorities say the suspects entered the restaurants wearing masks or bandanas and were armed with long rifles and/or a handgun.

Officers say the so-called "Get it to go bandits" would order employees to the ground or in the back of the business.  One suspect would have an employee open the register while making threats and demanding money, while the other suspect would watch the other customers and employees.

During three of the holdups, shots were fired, but no injuries were sustained.

The suspects have not been found and authorities say they fled in a 4-door white car in two of the robberies.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 25 to 30 years old, 5'9" to 6' tall with a heavy build, tattoos on his arms and a cross on his left wrist, a tear drop tattoo on left cheek with three dots above, wearing a "hoodie," dark pants, Nike sandals with socks, orange or yellow bandana over his face and dark gloves.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 25 to 30 years old, 5'8" to 6' tall with a thin build, wearing a "hoodie," baggy pants, dark colored shoes, dark beanie cap, orange or yellow bandana over his face and multi-colored gloves.
