DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

A surveillance camera records five men trying to break into a Detroit pharmacy. The owner believes these same suspects have targeted other businesses.

The back door at Town Pharmacy in southwest Detroit is now welded shut after an attempted break in Sunday morning. The would be burglars got away but everything they did was caught on camera. The "not so fab" five group of would-be thieves used crowbars to pry open the back door. It was the first attempted break in at the two year old drug store. Manager Gallal Albaneh knows exactly what they were after.

"Controlled substances," he said. "Vicodin, Morphine, big names."

He says there have been several break ins at nearby drug stores in recent months and he believes these guys may be connected to most, if not all of them. The crowbar wielding crooks spent seven minutes trying to get inside the store -- but, something spooked them. Now, the pharmacy is adding more security.

The suspects were all wearing white hoodies and white shoes. Their getaway vehicle was a light colored Infiniti SUV. Police are investigating this attempted break and potential connections to other burglaries. If you have any information, call Detroit police.
