Health and Wealth Raffle winner presented with a Mercedes

PHOENIX -

One lucky family drove away in a brand new Mercedes. They were the winners of the Health and Wealth Raffle that benefits Barrow -- and St. Joseph's Hospital.

"We are here today to announce the winner of the Mercedes!"

John and Tania Beaty had no idea they'd be driving away in a brand new luxury car.

"I feel fabulous right now and she feels even better because it's her car, not mine," said John Beaty.

The couple won the car after entering in the Health and Wealth Raffle.

"I've bought tickets since the inception, over 10 years of buying tickets for their Health and Wealth raffle."

He's never won anything -- until today.

"We're going to go for a ride as soon as everything's done!"

The raffle helps raise money for the hospital for research, patient care, and education of medical students.

"We've raised over $50 million for the hospital over the past 10 years and all the funds go to Barrow Neurological Institute and St. Joe's Medical Center," says Terri Hoffman, spokesperson for the Health and Wealth Raffle.

If you want a chance to win big, there is still time.

The final drawing will be on October 30 for a million dollar prize.

The Hess triangle is a tiny piece of private property in Greenwich Village. Manhattan historian Joyce Gold explained the origins of the property: After World War I, New York City seized a beautiful residence and tore it down so it could extend Seventh Avenue and the west side subway below it. The city left the building's owner only a tiny scrap of property so small it requested he donate the triangle to make way for a sidewalk. The man refused, took the city to court and won.
