ELLIJAY, Ga. -

If you love fall, we've got the perfect weekend plan for you!  The Georgia Apple Festival starts this weekend, and that means folks from across the state will be flocking to Gilmer County.  But there's more in store than just apples!

Scarecrows are taking over Ellijay!  Before you get scared, we should tell you that the scarecrows are just part of a city-wide contest. Anybody can make one and display one, but only one will be voted the best.

GOOD DAY'S PAUL MILLIKEN TRAVELED TO ELLIJAY FOR A PREVIEW OF THE FESTIVAL-- AND HE MADE HIS OWN, VERY FAMILIAR-LOOKING SCARECROW WHILE HE WAS THERE!  CLICK ON THE VIDEOS ABOVE TO WATCH HIS REPORTS.
