The Detroit Lions say wide receiver Nate Burleson suffered a broken arm in a one-car accident last week.

Michigan State Police Lt. Michael Shaw says Burleson was driving his 2009 GMC Yukon westbound on I-696 in Farmington Hills early in the morning when he became distracted by a pizza box falling off his front seat and struck the center median wall.

Tusday Burleson shared a photo compilation on Instagram that includes photos of his totaled vehicle and the pizza box.

Burleson captioned the photo, "I'm releasing these pix for 2 reasons: 1) I walked away from a totaled vehicle #Blessed 2) I have to hear all the pizza jokes...lol I'll start-Yes I am the 5th Ninja Turtle. #LovePizza #LetTheJokesBegin."

Mayor Bill de Blasio is pulling back the reins on his plans to quickly get rid of New York City's horse-drawn carriage industry, stung by a recent outpouring of support for the colorful coaches that have clip-clopped their way through Central Park for more than 150 years. A campaign pledge to take on the horses during his first week as mayor was eclipsed by other issues.
