MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. (WJBK) -

Police have apprehended a 63-year-old man following a standoff at a Macomb Co. apartment complex.

Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham says SWAT team agents were called to an apartment building on Beyne St. near Clinton River Dr. after 8 a.m. Tuesday in response to a resident who got into a verbal altercation with neighbors.

Wickersham says the man went into his apartment and emerged later with a rifle, pointed it at neighbors and retreated back into his apartment.

Agents were able to enter the apartment shortly after 11 a.m. and could be seen taking the man out of the apartment. He was placed on a stretcher and taken away in an ambulance. His condition is not known at this time.

FOX 2 will provide updates as they become available.

One of the most surprising findings in a report from the New York City public advocate is that city officials have virtually no authority over how nail salons are run. The city can't enforce standards like they do with restaurants, so it's clearly a case of beauty buyer beware. We get our nails done without thinking too much about it.
